Grand Opening: Northville Downs
The folks who have brought us Trippers in Lansing, and the Ball Joint in Battle Creek are opening up at a brand new location: Northville Downs! The Grand Opening is February 5th. Watch for more updates on that brand new location!
Grand Opening: Pinnacle Poker Room at Kickers in Livonia
There's a brand new poker room in Livonia! The Pinnacle Vodka Poker Room is located inside of Kickers 36071 Plymouth Rd, Livonia. They're playing Cash Games from 4pm to 2am Mondays through Thursdays. Check the calendar or the UMichiganPoker.com web site for more details!

2/1 3pm $100 buy-in at the Ball Joint in Battle Creek benefitting the Rotary Club of Climax M44840 for community projects. Qualifiers running Thur - Sat.
2/1 7pm $125 buy-in, 80% payback at the Dawg House in Chelsea benefitting K of C 3092 Charities M45247.
2/14 2pm $250 buy-in at Merri-Bowl Lanes in Livonia to benefit the Northville Moose Lodge M44773 proceeds to the General Fund. Qualifiers through the week.
2/26 - 3/1 2nd Annual Charity Hold'em Invitational at Trippers in Lansing to benefit LLC Couger Club M44700 for equipment & uniforms. Up to $20,000 prize pool. Qualifiers Thur - Sat, main event on Sun.

Gameside News & Views
The print newsletter has been retired. The last print issue was January 2009. As with regular print newspapers, the costs to produce and deliver 1500 hard copies every month just kept going up. After much thought, UMP has decided to keep bringing you the content! Each week, in this e-mail, we will include one of the all-time favorite articles from Gameside: Poker Room Reviews, Ask the Newbie, Non-Profit Profiles, and of course, the charity event calendar!
